We Want To Share a Secret

I've often shared that I am a big fan of Hyatt's premium brands. Park Hyatt, Andaz, Thompson Hotels, Miraval and now Alila, all fill my personal love for laid back, but very personal luxury accommodation and service. As a Globalist member of World of Hyatt, I am looked after royally and consider the benefits provided the best of any hotel loyalty program.

Here's the thing

Very few of our clients and I suspect the general public realize that you can receive all the usual Globalist benefits at Hyatt's top end hotels simply by booking through a travel advisor who is a member of the exclusive Hyatt Privé program. This is only bestowed to select top agencies in the world. Luckily for us and more importantly for you, our host agency Gifted Travel Network is a member. In almost all cases rates quoted are exactly as if booking regular rates directly with Hyatt and that likely won't even provide breakfast. But this is what you will receive when booking a Privé rate:

  • Full daily breakfast for 2
  • $100 resort credit
  • Upgraded room - usually confirmed within 24 hours of booking (ie. you do not have the nervous wait to find out at check-in if you've won the upgrade lottery)
  • Amenity in room
  • Early check-in
  • Late check-out
  • Free premium wifi

You cannot receive these amenities any other way (unless you're at Globalist status) than by booking through a qualified travel advisor, and I thought this was a secret I should share!
After last weeks success of the Hawaii 101 guide we provided for download, we are doubling down this week and have created a Hyatt Privé guide that covers their luxury properties in Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii and Costa Rica. My Top 5 Hyatt Privé Properties

Here's my personal Top 5 Hyatt Privé properties, but the list has grown substantially in the last few years despite Covid and there are many wonderful choices globally now.

1. Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo (above)

A special place where I celebrated my 50th birthday. Relax , reconnect, recharge, and stimulate your senses at this Guanacaste luxury resort. Offering three beaches , world-class golf, an extensive activity program, and distinctive dining experiences within a pristine 1,400-acre
private peninsula. Make the most of your time at the resort with 90+ staff and expert led activities such as the mixology class , barista class and yoga sessions.

2. Thompson Zihuatanejo (above and below)
Nestled on Mexico’ s Pacific Coast, Thompson Zihuatanejo overlooks the sugar-sand beaches of Playa La Ropa, Ixtapa. Discover refined beachfront luxury amid a laid back fishing village, with 56 rooms and suites . Make one of the country’s most sought-after beaches your personal playground.

3. Alila Napa Valley (below)
Already well established in Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Oman and China, this will be the third Alila resort in USA. Yes, it's one of my favorites and it hasn't even opened yet. Formally the Las Alcobas property, a Marriott Luxury Collection hotel, Hyatt are set to grow their Alila brand further with this opening next month! I'm personally very excited to visit this property after the Hyatt upgrades. It will be a 68-room adults-only retreat and will feature personalized hospitality that celebrates the authenticity of Napa and Sonoma.
Surrounded by the pristine home vineyards of the Beringer Estate, Alila Napa Valley will offer guests a curated travel experience in the heart of California’s Wine Country. The hotel features award-winning design by renowned design team Yabu Pushelberg using natural materials and a soothing neutral palette that complements the unobstructed vineyard and mountain views that face west for idyllic sunsets.
This resort has not been announced as a Privé property as yet, but I do expect it to be included in the program.

4. . Park Hyatt Tokyo (below)
I had 4 blissful days at this property with my daughter a few years ago now. If you know Tokyo, it can be overwhelming in size and the incredible bustle and contrast between the old and the new is a feast for the senses. This made the calm oasis of the Park Hyatt so wonderful for us after venturing out on our local tours with private guides.

5. Park Hyatt Hadahaa (above and below)
Another amazing Hyatt Privé resort that also has a wonderful offer of every 3rd night free currently, with the Privé amenities still included. With Maldives being one of our most booked destinations currently, this is a great opportunity to experience paradise at a reasonable value for luxury travel.
