What's an Amenity?

· Travel,Luxury

So I may have jumped the gun just a wee bit with last weeks teaser of a major announcement.

Officially, I am not allowed to name names yet, but I can reveal the following -

Come the start of January we will become a part of the world’s leading leisure and luxury travel network. This invitation-only travel consortia is comprised of elite travel advisors in 22 countries and over 1000 of the world’s best travel providers and premier destinations. Membership is limited to the top 1% of travel advisors, vendors, and properties.

The diligence of our host agency, Gifted Travel Network and both their and our commitment to the absolute best for our clients has brought this about and we could not be more thrilled. For the next few months J5Travel will be knee deep in learning all the new opportunities this opens up for our clients and from January you will know exactly what this means for your travel experiences.

You'll see the word "amenity" used a lot, as we transition to our new consortia. It's not a very sexy word in my opinion, and it can cover a lot of different aspects of a trip, but the right amenities can add so much value to your experience and below you'll find a rather random Top 5 sample of exclusive and complimentary amenities (out of thousands) that we will be able to offer come January.

Here's a story. When we ran our small restaurant in the Cotswolds, England back in the mid 1990s, we employed a young, funny and ambitious sous chef by the name of Tom Kerridge (the bald one in the photo above). My brother clearly did a great job training him as he has gone on to earn multiple Michelin Stars. For his first London restaurant, along with Head Chef Nick Beardshaw, he was invited to open Kerridge's Bar and Grill within one of London's finest hotels, The Corinthia (below).
