The little twist to the corniest article title, I actually do love being in the air. If I manage to wangle my way into long haul business class, usually with an award booking or a super good fare deal, I seem to always find my calm zone. My mind stops racing and I truly relax. I realize not everyone feels that way when flying, but I absolutely look forward to flying long distances at the front of the aircraft.
But what does long haul business class look like these these days?
Airlines have all sorts of different names for what is essentially similar products.
- AA - Flagship Business
- Qatar Airways - QSuites
- Eva Air - Royal Laurel Class
- ANA - The Room
- Delta - Delta One
- JetBlue - Mint
- United - Polaris
- Aer Lingus - Horizon Class
That's just a random sample.
We can help you navigate the minefield of what your experience will look like in all the different iterations of "business class". Of course there are several different lists of the top rated airlines business class offerings.
Here is the J5Travel version of the Top 5.

1. Qatar Airways - QSuites
Known for exceptional privacy and luxury, Qsuites are often considered the best business class in the world. This was a product that was a major step forward when it was introduced and led to true First Class virtually disappearing entirely. Remarkably, version 2 is already in the works and will start its release later this year.

2. Singapore Airlines - Business Class
Singapore Airlines offers a spacious and comfortable business class experience with superlative service and dining. The photo above was taken on what was then (2019) the world's longest route Newark to Singapore since supplanted by a few miles with JFK to Singapore.

3. ANA (All Nippon Airways) - The Room
ANA's "The Room" has you flying business class with unparalleled space. Extra-wide seats, enclosed for added privacy, create a personal haven. The design emphasizes openness yet offers a sense of seclusion. Luxurious fabrics and thoughtful amenities enhance the experience and a massive 4K entertainment screen provides immersive viewing. Combined with ANA's renowned service and dining, The Room delivers an exceptional and truly premium business class journey.

4. Delta - Delta One
I'll stick my neck out and say that currently Delta has the best longhaul business class of any US based airline. It offers a premium experience with lie-flat seats and Westin Heavenly Bedding for ultimate comfort. Enhanced amenities include noise-canceling headphones and a TUMI amenity kit. Also, chef-curated menus and a wide selection of beverages elevate the dining experience. Delta's service levels are also higher than local rivals ensuring a smooth and attentive journey. Delta One succeeds in providing a restful and productive environment for long-haul travel.

5. EVA Air - Royal Laurel Class (above)
This Taiwanese based airline is one of the best options to connect with SE Asia in an outstanding business class product. EVA Air's Royal Laurel Class blends comfort and elegance. Spacious, lie-flat seats offer privacy with thoughtful design and you will enjoy curated menus featuring gourmet cuisine and a selection of fine wines.
Luxurious amenities, including pajamas designed by Jason Wu, enhance the experience. Attentive service ensures a relaxing journey and Royal Laurel succeeds in providing a super-premium and refined travel experience.
