We have been working on our own website revamp for a while and have taken it LIVE this week. Hopefully it will give everyone a deeper understanding of who we are and the services we can provide to our inspired clients. Although I love to write about our personal travels and the industry in general, I am fully aware that pictures tell the greater story when it comes to travel, and so we have a much larger gallery to peruse, most of the photos being from our own adventures. 1. Rosewood Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda (above)
Rosewood Little Dix Bay is currently closed following the aftermath of Hurricane Irma passing through the British Virgin Islands in September 2017. Although the resort was closed and already under renovation, it sustained significant damage. Currently due to reopen towards the end of this year, it will have completed a comprehensive, multi-million-dollar renovation to include the complete redesign of the resort’s guest rooms and suites, its three restaurants, and overall enhancements to the resort’s gardens and landscaping. The location is simply stunning and this place has a special spot in my heart, as I proposed to Helen here back in 1994.

2. Raffles Hotel, Singapore
This iconic hotel, the epitome of Singapore's colonial history, will reopen mid-year after a full 18 month long refurbishment. You can expect to experience Raffles’ charming ambiance and legendary service as well as enjoying newly opened bars, restaurants, courtyards, and social areas. The famous Long Bar (early photo above) returns to its original location, newly restored and serving the Singapore Sling experience once again (photo below). I am very much hoping it will indeed be reopened by early July as we will be visiting the city briefly.

3. Mandarin Oriental, London
The Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park, London, underwent a major revamp throughout 2016 and 2017 and reopened to very positive reviews in the summer of 2018 only to be ravaged by fire one week later. So yet another multi-million dollar renovation described as "the most extensive restoration in the hotel's 115-year history" has reinvented the entire west wing of the 181-room hotel and introduced a new pool, spa and fitness centre.The hotel’s flagship restaurant, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (below), three bars and the spa reopened in early December 2018 in time for the festive season. Meanwhile, the guest rooms and suites will reopen on April 15th.

4. Celebrity Millennium
Celebrity Cruises are in the middle of a $500 million multi-ship refurbishment program, and Millennium is the first to undergo what will be a fairly revolutionary change of style in line with the new EDGE class ships that are currently being built. Celebrity Millennium is already out of dry dock and will be ready for Alaska sailings this year. The Penthouse stateroom (below) gives you an idea of Celebrity's new style.

5. TWA Hotel at JFK (below)
This is a slight cheat as TWA will be a brand new hotel, opening May 15th, but I'm counting it due to the incredible restoration needed to the former 1962 TWA Terminal at JFK. Aside from the fact that JFK has needed an on-airport hotel for ever, the owners are going all out with this one and facilities will include -
• Six restaurants, including The Paris Café, and eight bars, including The Sunken Lounge
• An Intelligentsia coffee bar and coffee carts throughout the hotel grounds
• High-end retail outlets
• 50,000 sq ft of event space, including a 15,000 sq ft ballroom
• A rooftop pool and observation deck
• A Lockheed Constellation "Connie" L-1649A transformed into a cocktail lounge
and the world's largest hotel gymnasium at over 10,000 sq ft.
