While we continue to work on all the finishing touches to clients summer itineraries, it is already time to urge everyone to look ahead to holiday travel 2022/23. Inflation is a headline globally right now, and it's being seen in travel pricing for sure. Airfare is dramatically higher almost no matter where you are flying to. Increased flight demand at the same time as oil prices have surged higher is not a good mix. Accommodation costs have also risen, though this is more demand driven, and we are seeing very wide price disparities between destinations. At the top of the inflation charts for hotels are Italy and Hawaii, so be prepared for some sticker shock especially during high season, which for 2022 is effectively sold out.
However, I personally am constantly on the look for value at the luxury end of the spectrum and there are still no shortage of amazing places to explore, and for way less cost than you would expect. To make my point this weeks Top 5 features 5 hotels we have priced out for 5 nights over Thanksgiving that would provide an extraordinary experience at incredible value. We know that demand for holiday travel is going to be through the roof for the end of 2022. Commit early and you will reap the rewards of lower pricing, especially if you are open to some of this weeks highlighted destinations.
That 3 of our recommendations are Four Seasons properties is a factor of amazing pricing for dates you just would not expect, and that Kendall on the team this week enjoyed a 2-day Four Seasons Travel Industry Showcase virtual event, meeting one on one with sales managers of individual properties.
You'll see a few prices highlighted below which is not our usual method of communicating, but we think these are so good, we need to shout about them, and remember, ALL would have the addtional value we can add of full breakfast, potential upgrades, room amenity, VIP service and a hotel credit.
